GINDARUS

GINDARUS (Γίνδαρος), a city of the Syrian district of CYRRHESTICA; an acropolis, and resort of robbers, according to Strabo (p. 751.) Ptolemy, however, places a city of this name in the district of Seleucis (5.15).
