chorizontes

Chorizontes

(χωρίζοντες). “Separators.” A name given to such of the ancient scholars and critics as held the belief that the Iliad and Odyssey of Homer were written by different authors. The names of only two of these critics— Xenon and Hellanicus—have come down to us. See Homerus.
