dialapis

DIALAPIS
, Constitutum Imperatorum, in Glossis Isidori. Papias habet Dialabis, Constitutum Imperatorium, sive diathete. Ubi leg. forte diathecis, ex Gr. διάθεσις. In MS. Bituric. habetur Diathece : quam vocem puto retinendam, a Græca διαθήκη, Fœdus, pactum. At dialabis videtur detortum ex διαλαβή, quæ quidem vox nescio an hac significatione reperiatur apud Scriptores : Quare Pithœus mallet Dialepsis, διάληψις, Propositum ; Scaliger vero διάταξις, Edictum, constitutio. Forte per compendium scripturæ pro Divalis apex, vel Dialis. Vide Dibalis et Divalis.
