Sat. 3. ubi vetus ejusdem Interpres : Pinnis pavonum ornari solent gladiatores, si quando ad pompam descendunt. Pinnirapes autem dicit lanistas ex habitu gladiatorum : quia post mortem retiarii pinnam, id est, manicam rapit, ut ostendat populo se vicisse. Aut ideo Pinnirapes, quia pinnas in galeis habebant.
