Orig. cap. 11. quod ejus tyrsi seu radicis succus acuat visum cujus virtus traditur, ut serpentes annuam senectutem ejus deponant. Hoc olus Græci μάρατρον vocant. Hanc herbam Galli Fenouil, Germani Fenchel, Belgæ Fenckel vel Venckel appellant.
