, εἶδος φονῆς σάλπιγγος, Species sonitus tubæ, in Glossis Lat. Græc. MSS. Sangerman. Legendum Gingrinæ. Festus : Gingrire, Anserum vocis proprium est, unde genus quoddam tibiarum exiguarum Gingrinæ. Hæ fiebant ex arundine quadam Siciliensi et breviores licet, subtilioribus tamen modis insonabant, ut habetur apud Solinum capite 5. de Sicilia.
