comitida

COMITIDA
. Joannes Diac. in Vita S. Athanasii Episc. Neap. apud Murator. tom. 2. part. 2. col. 1046. viii : Item, paravit duas conchas argenteas appendentes libras viginti, ex quibus una nomen Sergii exaratum habebat ; fecit et Comitidas, quibus Cantores per festivitates uterentur. Ex sensu conjicit Cl. Editor, Comitidas fuisse quoddam vestimenti vel instrumenti genus, quo Lectores in Ecclesia utebantur. Forte posset analogium intelligi, ubi lectiones legebantur, quod Comitida dictum fuerit a Comite, seu Lectionario. Vide Comes 1.
